Solar-Ice Cooling Film

Sun View Cool is a four-year film that will lower greenhouse temperatures in the daytime heat. Sun View Cool is the first highly diffusing greenhouse film that improves growing conditions by using controlled diffusion to influence the light reaching the plant. It is designed to make more light available to plants by increasing the amount of diffused light to close to the maximum, while reducing short wave infra-red radiation and enhancing useful light in the PAR range. This four-year, 6 mil film is the ideal choice as an outside layer, and the perfect partner with GT IR/AC on the interior This leads to healthy, bushy plants while reducing greenhouse temperatures. In addition, there is less risk of plants scorching while achieving an optimum rate of photosynthesis. Solar-Ice creates higher yields and stronger-than-normal root systems, making it a excellent choice for ornamental plants, nursery stock and tomatoes. Greenhouse owners have long contended with the loss of heat from greenhouses during the night and at times of cool weather. That is why high level of thermicity of Solar-Ice is so important. Research conducted in Europe shows that, in greenhouses covered with Sun View Cool, the total solar heat load was reduced by over 20%, without any significant decrease in PAR light. Your workers and customers will enjoy this more comfortable environment and you can expect this will be reflected in productivity, too.

3 mil Overwinter

This super strength overwintering film has improved tear strength, stronger folds and takes greater force to puncture than the 4-mil ‘co-poly’ that is traditionally used. It is also 25% lighter than standard 4-mil co-poly — that’s 25% less weight during installation and 25% less film to dispose of next spring. When an even tougher film is required, this film is also available in super strong 5-mil gauge.

For widths of 20′ or less, a minimum of 2,000 lbs per order, per width, per gauge and per opacity is required

GT Black-White

Black-White

GT Black-White Poly is a highly reflective and opaque 6-mil black-white film that can be used for either bench/ground cover or as a reflective blackout curtain for photoperiod control.

GT Black-White Poly is UV-stabilized to ensure durability, and is guaranteed to withstand 12 months or 1 year of UV exposure under normal circumstances.

Brilliant white layer ensures maximum light reflectivity to aid in vegetable crop production.

100% film opacity ratings provide maximum control when used as a blackout curtain for your crops.

Reflects heat and cools better than shade cloth.

Designed specifically to withstand the wear and tear of either foot traffic or retractable curtain systems, so that crop management control is not reduced in these higher-stress applications.

High strength at folds means higher resistance to development of punctures and tears. In any film, weaknesses can occur where the polymer strands are bent at a fold. Increased fold strength minimizes performance issues at these key areas.
